Control, operation and maintenance of existing Private HV Networks

HVPS can provide maintenance services via fixed term Control and Operation agreements, annually renewed contracts, or ad-hoc arrangements.

Visual inspection to include substation, signage, and oil diagnostics, which can be undertaken at 6 or 12 monthly intervals. Routine intrusive maintenance of HV/LV switchgear and transformers - inclusive of oil replacement. The use of non-intrusive techniques – infra red, partial discharge testing.

Design and Building of HV systems

Complete design and build ability for new Private HV Networks / extension to Private HV Networks, including fault level calculations, Protection and grading analysis, resilience surveys, Network optimisation/rationalisation, cable calculations and Project Management services.

HV/LV cable jointing up to 33kV, including the installation of Fibre and communication networks. The refurbishment and upgrading of Private HV Networks in order to maintain asset life expectancy.

Protection Testing

Protection Testing

Protection / grading system maintenance, upgrade, replacement, and reconfiguration of new and existing systems including G59 / 99 requirements.

HV/LV cable fault

The diagnosis, location, and subsequent repair of underground HV/LV cable faults.

Energy and supply quality

The investigation and reporting on the quality of supply using the most up to date technology to be able to provide the most economical solution to demand issues.

24-hour emergency call out facility

The provision of a single point of contact for both ‘within’ normal hours and ‘outside’ of normal hours.  The Engineer will be able to give immediate advice and also attend site in order to make safe a potentially dangerous situation, as well as instigate the rectification of a loss of supply using a sound supply chain of temporary generation suppliers, switchgear / transformer suppliers and cable accessories suppliers.
